‘CALLING US HOME - IN CONCERT’

WELCOME

A very warm welcome to our amazing Calling Us Home - In Concert experience!

Our Vision

Calling Us Home In Concert strips away the usual full sets to spotlight what truly matters: the music, the story, and the soul.

Our singers make sure that every note pounds like a heartbeat! Every word carries a story! This isn’t just a concert, it’s a unique soul-stirring experience you will never forget…

Unapologetically provocative - Calling Us Home is a story that leans into some of the most controversial conversations of our time. In a big full orchestral kind of way!

OUR PURPOSE

We believe in community! We believe in unity! We believe in hope!

As shocking as that is these days… and so we walk onto the stage, together with voices from every city that we visit! From schools to young professionals: so that together we can raise the roof!

Starting with a Tour across our own home continent of Africa, we seek to raise our voices for compassion and togetherness across every corner of the Planet!

Our show is completely and dramatically scalable and adaptable: from 6 singers standing under a tree in a community school courtyard to a full orchestral concert with multiple choirs on a stadium stage! We aim to provide every audience with a rare and unforgettable chance to experience our very own ‘born in Africa’ international musical Calling Us Home, in a specially adapted format that is accessible and practical and that will deeply engage, excite and move them.

Whenever possible and appropriate, we facilitate wider community engagement and participation in order to share the experience and our collective learnings, to make beautiful theatre and music a rich part of everyone’s lives.

In order to do this our Crews and Creatives offer Masterclasses, Technical Lectures, Interactive Q&As and Internships (Job Shadowing) to connect with young artists and local Arts Communities in every City. These events are scheduled during our Tech Week leading up to performances.

You’ve got Questions?!

below, please find answers to the most common questions about hosting or participating in the concert.

ATTENDANCE & PARTICIPATION

what is the ideal audience capactity?

Capacity depends on your venue. We will work closely with you to determine the optimal layout for audience experience, technical requirements, and safety.

Can the event be opened to the public?

Yes. Performances may be private, ticketed, or part of a public season depending on your objectives.

Can we sell tickets and retain revenue?

Yes. Ticketing structures and revenue splits will be agreed in advance.

Can neighbouring theatres, community groups, or organisations attend?

Absolutely. Joint hosting or shared audience initiatives are welcome if the venue size supports it.

VENUE, SETUP & SEATING

What kind of space is suitable?

A theatre, auditorium, black box, or adaptable performance space works well. We will assess your venue and design a layout best suited for acoustics, visibility, and technical flow.

Do we need a stage or a raised platform?

A stage is helpful for visibility, but not essential. The show can be performed effectively on a flat surface as long as there’s sufficient space.

Who manages seating?

Your venue team manages auditorium preparation and seating arrangements. We will provide any layout specifications required for optimal viewing.

Can the concert take place outdoors?

Yes, as long as the area is covered, stable, and has access to power. Indoor venues are preferred for sound and lighting control, but outdoor setups are possible if conditions are suitable.

Do we need to provide instruments or a piano?

No. The production is fully self-contained. Any collaborative elements will be discussed well in advance.

What if our hall is small or has limited facilities?

That’s not a problem. The production is completely portable and adaptable to schools of all sizes and layouts.

What is the typical technical timeline?

Calling Us Home – In Concert is a 6-day technical residency, not a same-day setup.
Because the production includes lighting programming, sound design, projection, and full company rehearsals, the show requires a six-day onsite schedule, structured as follows:

Production Timeline

1 Month Before — Site Visit
Day 1 — Arrival & Load-In
Day 2 — Technical Setup
Day 3 — Systems Integration
Day 4 — Full On-Stage Rehearsal
Day 5 — Dress Rehearsal & Performance 1
Day 6 — Performances 2 & 3 + Strike
